The National convention #WeAreEU

On 10th April in 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic brought a discussion within the series of events of the #WeAreEU National Convention to the Technical University in Zvolen and I got the opportunity to discuss various topics related to the European Union with the secretary of ministry Mr. Ivan Korčok.
During the first part of the discussion, we focused on the Erasmus programme - EU programme for education, training, youth and sport. I completed this program several times and it was a great experience and opportunity for me. I got a chance to cooperate with new researchers at new places and countries. Then the debate focused on what it means for Slovak people to be the EU citizens and how can EU help our research careers.
As a participant on this discussion, later I was invited to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava and participate in the creation of an information video for the #WeAreEU project. I got the opportunity to see how does the ministry work, I took a tour of the buildings and talked to employees.
